Information bulletin ➞ January 10 2017 German Canadian Care Home to be rebuilt Vancouver, BC – Vancouver Coastal Health has signed an agreement with the German Canadian Benevolent Society to rebuild and expand the German Canadian Care Home in South Vancouver. The existing facility will be demolished and replaced with a larger care home with 18 additional beds, for a total of 160-beds, 10 of which will be private pay. Information bulletin ➞ December 30 2016 VCH opens fifth overdose prevention site Vancouver, BC – Vancouver Coastal Health has opened its fifth overdose prevention site to help save lives and prevent further harm to those at risk of overdose. The new site is located in a modified first aid trailer at 62 East Hastings Street. VCH is providing clinical support and harm reduction supplies, while PHS Community Services Society and its partners are ensuring the site is staffed 12 hours per day, seven days per week.
